The electronics team within Seaborough focuses on generating intellectual properties while solving the biggest challenges in the lighting industry related to penetration of lighting. This is a full-time job and as a system architect you will be able to research and develop the feasibility of new technologies. You will provide direction on the modern topologies to be used in products.

Are you a System architect electronics with the following skills?

  • You are an experienced professional in the system architecture, product design and manufacturing processes in the power electronics industry
  • You are recognized by peers because of your technical competences & knowledge
  • You have the ability to build strong working relationships and communicate on various levels in an international environment
  • You will actively contribute and steer all aspects of electronics development: planning, tracking, architecture, development, configuration management, testing, integration, validation, and documentation to meet the business commitments
  • You are familiar with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) principles to ensure that electronic designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet industry quality and safety standards
  • You lead design reviews and generate documentation, including process specifications, DFMEA
  • You have in-depth knowledge of Switch Mode Power Supplies and experience implementing them in hardware designs
  • You have knowledge in one or more electronic engineering fields, such as signal processing, analog and digital design, firmware, high voltage electronics and EMI
  • You lead the definition, implementation and supervision of PCB layout rules and constraints

As a System architect electronics, here is what you will mainly be up to:

  • Developing architectural concepts in an R&D lab environment, to ideate and build new and innovative electronic and system lighting propositions in a multidisciplinary and international team
  • Design and development of conventional and non-conventional drivers including DC/DC converters, AC/DC converters for lighting applications
  • Performs electronic simulations using e.g. LTSPICE, MATLAB
  • Managing outsourcing activities at electronics development partners
  • Supporting allocation of manufacturing and other supply chain decisions
  • Documenting specifications, concepts, designs and test analysis results
  • Failure analysis of samples from production environment or field
  •  Keeps records of all inventive ideas, designs, and improvements

IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

Your education, knowledge & work experience:

  • Master’s degree in electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of broad experience within the electronic field, in multidisciplinary development teams
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as an Architect is a plus

Your soft skills:

  • Good communication skills and proficient in English and preferably in Dutch
  • You are a structured individual with good problem solving skills
  •  A team player, analytical, pragmatic, creative and pro-active
