Seaborough has been recognized at the SPIE Startup Challenge, receiving third place for EuroLED®, its nano-engineered phosphor technology for advanced LED lighting applications. The Startup Challenge took place during Photonics West in San Francisco.
The SPIE Startup Challenge brings together early-stage and scale-up companies developing innovative optics and photonics technologies, offering participants the opportunity to present their solutions to a panel of industry experts, investors, and potential partners.
Seaborough’s EuroLED® technology was selected for its potential to address one of the LED industry’s long-standing challenges, improving light quality and efficiency simultaneously. Based on nano-engineered phosphors, EuroLED® is designed to deliver brighter light with lower carbon impact, and real savings.
“Receiving this recognition at SPIE Photonics West, especially from this type of audience, is an important confirmation that what we’re doing is meaningful and relevant.” said Marie Anne van de Haar, CEO and CTO of Seaborough. “It has also been a great opportunity to connect with peers, partners, and potential collaborators.”
In addition to the Startup Challenge presentation, Seaborough also participated in networking activities throughout the exhibition, engaging with industry leaders across the photonics industry.
The third-place recognition at the SPIE Startup Challenge represents an important milestone for Seaborough as it continues to develop and scale its nano-engineered luminescent technologies for the global LED lighting market.
