The Electronics team within Seaborough focuses on generating intellectual properties while solving the biggest challenges in the lighting industry related to the penetration of LED lighting. This is a full-time behind-the-workbench job and as a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be able to research and develop new technologies. You will provide direction on the modern topologies to be used in products.

Are you a Senior Development Engineer with the following skills?

  • Design and development of Switch Mode Power Supplies.
  •  Robust knowledge of DC-DC and AC-DC converters.
  •  Schematic and PCB Design (Altium Designer). KiCad knowledge is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of safety analysis, design, and validation of IEC standards.
  • Functional EMI understanding and filter design knowledge.
  •  Analog and Digital circuit design.

As a Senior Development Engineer, here is what you will mainly be up to:

  • Analyze specifications and interpret them to produce hardware functional specifications.
  • Performs electronic simulations using LTSPICE. MATLAB is an advantage.
  •  Analog and Digital circuit design and documentation.
  • Design and development of conventional and non-conventional drivers including DC/DC converters, and AC/DC converters for LED lighting applications such as Buck, Boost, and Flyback.
  • Experience with digital circuit design including microcontrollers (ARM families are an advantage), firmware (C/C++), initialization, ADC, Serial interfaces, and debugging.
  • Work on electronic component selection (thermal, sizing, and EMI) and theoretical analysis to study the worst cases scenarios and thus take into account all the potential stress experienced by the components (stress tests).
  • Robust work experience with Altium Designer Schematic, PCB, Libraries (Schematic & PCB), Output jobs, Gerber files, and how to make a high-end PCB from scratch.
  •  Hands-on experience in PCB ordering, assembly, and debugging assembly issues.
  •  Debug issues related to design during the proof of concept phase till production implementation.
  •  EMI testing and resolving EMI issues with designed power supplies.
  • Know-how to perform DFMEA or FMEA on designs and write reports accordingly.
  • Failure analysis of samples from the production environment or field.

IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

Your education, knowledge & work experience:

  • Do you have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics or equivalent with at least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Do you have a Master’s degree in Electrical / Power Electronics or equivalent with robust knowledge in Hardware Design and at least 5 years of experience in the field of Power Electronics and Analog/Digital circuit design? Additional work experience is an added advantage.

Your soft skills:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Able to work alone or with minimum guidance, but also be able to operate effectively as part of a team.
  •  You are a structured individual with good problem-solving skills.
  •  You are dynamic, flexible, and eager to learn.
